What is the biggest misconception people have about you?

Post by [email protected] »

This question is useful, as it is a twist on the typical “What would you say is your greatest weakness?”

The idea here is to get a better answer to the same question by putting the interviewee (slightly) in the spotlight.

Sure, a lot of candidates will say crap like, ' People say I'm too nice .' But argentina whatsapp number data 5 million that's only because they had that answer prepared in case you ask them about their strengths (which, by the way, never happens).

But this question also offers an opportunity for them to correct any misconceptions you may have about them at the time. Maybe you saw their hands shaking and thought they can't stand pressure out of nerves, when in fact they may be a naturally nervous person. Now you know.

Final tip for this question: Don't hire anyone who says, ' Everyone thinks I'm lazy, but…' .

No. Stop. He's just lazy.

What achievements are you most proud of?
Ask this question to get a sense of what the person in front of you really cares about. What are their values? What do they think of themselves? What motivates them? How do they deal with problems?

Note: You probably shouldn't hire anyone who doesn't mention an accomplishment.
