Monitoring the competition
PPC competition can be intimidating at times. Since you can't track your competitors' PPC performance in Google Ads, you need to use common sense to interpret some of the elements in your campaigns.

If you want to stay up to date on how your competitors' ads are performing and know which of your rivals are occupying advertising space at the top of the SERP for your target keywords, Position Tracking can be a great help boost your business with our doctor database becoming a fundamental tool in managing your pay per click campaigns.

After setting up your campaign in the tool, be sure to choose Google Ads as your keyword “type,” not organic, to track your competitor’s ranking for your target keywords in Google’s paid results.

Discover the domains of your main rivals (those that have the same target keywords as you) in the Competitor Discovery tab of Position Tracking.

Find out your competitor's domain's ad position for a given keyword and see if it improves or deteriorates over time.

Analyze the URL of your competitor's landing page that a particular keyword is associated with and see how your ad appears in the SERP.

Check the overview, rankings and distribution of rankings to get a comprehensive picture of your domain's visibility compared to the competition.

I hope this checklist helps you get the most out of your SEMrush subscription and run a successful PPC campaign.
