Nasdaq Bell Ringing Ceremony
Reading time: 3 minutes
“Making marketing better, having a positive impact on the world.” That is the main purpose of Rock Content . Our commitment to social causes is something that is in our DNA and is part of our core business.
We are delighted to announce that we participated, in person, in the Nasdaq opening bell ringing yesterday, November 29, in New York. We have been invited by Pledge 1%, our social impact partner, to represent our company at the ceremony.
Every year, Pledge 1% has the opportunity to ring the bell at the Nasdaq and share this moment with companies that are actively working to improve social impact in the world. Rock Content is one of the 50 companies in the Pledge 1% movement in 2022. Other major players are also part of it, such as Salesforce, Twilio and Asana, and will be present at the event.
It is a great time for all companies with corporate social responsibility commitments through the Pledge 1% movement.
This time, our representative at the suriname email list event will be Lakeshia Highsmith, VP of the People and Culture team. So let's understand what this is all about and what it represents for Rock Content.
The importance of the 1% Pledge movement for brands and society
Pledge 1% is a global movement to create a new reality, where giving back is built into the fabric of companies of all sizes and stages. Its role is to inspire, educate and empower all organizations to be a force for good.
The impact of initiatives like this is real, as companies are international and contribute to improving the situation in the world. This brings together companies and people who think about impact in the same way. Therefore, brands can attract and retain the best talents, be closer to investors who have this same DNA and strengthen relationships with customers.
For Rock Content , participating in the Nasdaq Bell Ringing means that we are on the right track with our journey to scale and grow our impact initiative. The impact we create is now tied to business growth. We are honored to be one of the 1% Pledge members who are making a meaningful difference in the world.
Every brand can give something back to the community
The Pledge 1% movement makes it clear that no matter the company's segment or size, any company can make a commitment to social impact.
It empowers those who want to start doing something, but don't know how. This means that companies don't need to wait until they reach a certain size or reach a certain level of revenue. Everyone has the ability to start now.
And it can be something as simple as committing 1% of employee time to volunteering, selecting causes that are important to the organization and the community. Without a doubt, small actions can have a big impact in the future.
Rock Content's plans for social initiatives for the future
We are aware that we have a long road ahead of us. We will continue to take important steps to ensure that our commitment to social impact is present at all levels and in everything we do at Rock Content.
We have publicly stated our commitment to donate capital for Social Impact activities and will continue to work strategically to leverage efforts and join forces between DE&I and social impact.
We continue on this eternal path of learning, discovering how to do better marketing while positively impacting the world every year.

Tips for other organizations to start creating social impact initiatives
First, try to find out what the theory of change is for your organization, what social challenges you want to commit to working on, and how you will achieve the intended final impact. To do this, you can involve managers in the co-creation of this process.
Study success stories and benchmark them for inspiration.
Join Pledge 1% at the initial phase of your initiative, as it can help you formalize it internally, create procedures and get in touch with more companies in an advanced phase of social impact.
Connect social impact objectives with business objectives, this will help you be more efficient and grow faster.
Have a person or area dedicated 100% to leading the initiative.
And last but not least, make this a company priority.
