Is Clubhouse an interesting social network for B2B?

Post by mehadihasan123 »

Have you heard of Clubhouse? Clubhouse is a new social network that is in full swing. In fact, for now, it can only be accessed by invitation and is only available as an app for Apple (iPhone) environments. I am already trying it out, so I am going to share with you my first experiences and points of view from the point of view of professional use.

The main differentiating element of panama phone number library Clubhouse is that it is an audio social network that bases its connection potential on live voice. It is a kind of live audio chat-podcast. You can freely choose conversations organized in “rooms” grouped by themes or specific conversation topics and users sign up and can participate with their voice live when the organizer gives them the go-ahead. There are open rooms and closed rooms. There is no chat or photos (beyond the profile photo). It is like a podcast but communal and social where everyone can participate with the live voice element as the most striking factor. Something that on the other hand is a clear trend in the digital world and specifically in the Google environment seeing how voice searches are growing (almost 50% in local searches already).

In my experience, what has struck me most is the agility and ease with which you can get into a topic through the app. The use of voice also gives it a very personal element.

Like most social networks (except LinkedIn), the component is more leisure and social than professional, although I have been able to access different rooms on Marketing topics and specifically some on B2B. I have been able to see that they are very technological, inspiring and very specific topics. I have been able to participate in rooms on LinkedIn, WordPress and some about the use of Hotjar. In other words, all specific elements of Martech or technology associated with B2B Marketing.

Today it is probably not yet a very interesting format for searching for professionals, but I think it may have significant potential as a complement or even a format for B2B communities (for example, those on LinkedIn) where writing becomes a voice and networking and agility grow exponentially.

On the other hand, I find this new “social podcast” format very interesting as a Top of the Funnel channel where you can capture leads with very open themes/problems to generate traffic to a website or blog. It can also be great for specific company training or for channel partner actions with clients.

Let's give it time, but the format is promising. I'll keep you posted on how it evolves because I've already called some rooms.
