Results of the previous survey for 2022

The next iteration of the survey will include improved language capabilities, as well as further refinement of the question options. It is important to remember that the survey takes time to complete, so we want to make sure that community members are asked the questions that help WordPress the most.

The tentative plan is to launch the 2023 survey as early as August. This will create an opportunity to gather more results and, most importantly, to inform planning for key initiatives and activities in 2024. Community feedback is vital to the success and direction of the project.Users, site builders, extension creators, and contributors provide valuable feedback through an annual survey. Last year, in 2022, the survey received a comprehensive update for the first time in six years. The total number of whatsapp number list questions was reduced to 29 (previously about 100), most of the socioeconomic questions were removed, and a Likert scale was introduced. These updates were intended to improve survey completion rates, provide more efficient and structured analysis of this data, and allow the survey to best measure the topics that matter most to the WordPress community.

The 2022 survey saw a 26% increase in completion rate, but a 56% decrease in submissions to around 3,400, including around 800 development contributors. The survey is starting earlier this year than last year, which will hopefully allow for more submissions.

Key points:

The survey shows a higher usage of blocks and the new site editor (compared to the classic editor), which should come as no surprise since the default theme is now a block-based theme
22% of respondents have used WordPress for only a year or less. Those taking the survey are also getting a little older, with fewer responses from those under 40 than in previous years.
